Keenan Bird is a Policy Analyst in the Economic Development Sector at the Assembly of First Nations since April 2023, previously serving as a Jr Policy Analyst in the Governance Sector. In addition, Keenan holds the position of National Ambassador of HOPE at We Matter, focusing on Indigenous Youth Empowerment. Previous roles include Income Assistance Clerk/Administrator at Mistawasis Nêhiyawak and an intern at VIDEA. Additional experience was gained as a Security Attendant for Mistawasis First Nation and as an Administrative Assistant in various capacities at the Federation of Sovereign Indigenous Nations. Keenan started an entrepreneurial venture as a lemonade vendor at LemonMade Us in 2018. Education includes a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Saskatchewan and a Business Administration Diploma from SIIT, along with policy-related certification from the Youth Indigenous Policy School.
