Asia (Joanna) Machnicka has four years of work experience in the healthcare industry. Asia (Joanna) began their career in 2015 as a Registered Nurse at Oregon Health and Science University, where they served as a New Hire Preceptor and Stroke Response Nurse. In 2017, they took a position as a Per Diem ICU RN and CVICU at Kaiser Permanente. In 2019, they became a Special Project Coordinator at ASRV and a Registered Nurse at UC San Diego Health, where they served as a Medical Surgical ICU Resource RN and Preceptor.

Asia (Joanna) Machnicka began their educational journey with Glendale Community College from 2009 to 2012. Asia (Joanna) then pursued a Bachelor's degree in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse from Oregon Health & Science University from 2012 to 2015. Most recently, they have been attending MiraCosta College since 2020. Additionally, Asia obtained a CCRN certification from AACN (American Association of Critical-Care Nurses) in August 2021.
