Chandnee Chandrasekaran's work experience includes a current role as a Translational Scientist I at Aspen Neuroscience, Inc. starting in 2022. Prior to that, Chandnee worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Purdue University from August 2020 to September 2022. In this role, Chandnee tested the effects of ENSA on alpha-synuclein pathology in multiple pre-clinical models and worked with neuronal cell culture and animal in vivo models. Chandnee also served as a PhD student at Purdue University from August 2016 to August 2022, conducting research on the effect of endosulfine-alpha on alpha-synuclein pathology in Parkinson's disease and traumatic brain injury models. During this time, Chandnee mentored undergraduate and PhD rotation students and gained skills in various techniques such as stereotaxic injection, animal behavior assays, cell culture, and molecular biology. Before that, Chandnee had research internships at the National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences and the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Medicine and Public Health, where Chandnee gained experience in neurodegenerative and psychiatric disorders and Parkinson's disease research, respectively. Chandnee also has trainee experience at Anthem Biosciences Private Limited, Indo-American Hybrid Seeds Pvt. Ltd, Lifeline Institute of Regenerative Medicine, and the Center for Medical Genetics.
Chandnee Chandrasekaran started their education in 1996 at Padma Seshadri Bala Bhavan Senior Secondary School (PSBB), where they completed their secondary schooling. From 2011 to 2015, they attended SRM University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) degree in Genetic Engineering.
