Russell Schaub is a seasoned finance and investment professional with extensive leadership experience across various organizations. Currently serving as a Senior Advisor at Xcelyst Partners, Russell has played pivotal roles in multiple investment firms, including as Partner at Aspen Capital and Managing Partner at Shackleton Capital Partners, focusing on mortgage and real estate opportunities. Previously, Russell held significant positions such as President of Great Ajax Corp, where Russell co-founded a mortgage REIT, and CEO/COO of Gregory Funding, where portfolio growth was achieved from $100 million to $5 billion. Russell's career also includes senior advisory roles and executive positions at JP Morgan Chase, Citicards, and TrueCredit/TransUnion Interactive. Academically, Russell earned an MBA in Finance and Marketing from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a BA in Economics from the University of Chicago.
