Vadim Banine is a highly experienced professional in the field of physics and technology, currently serving as Senior Director and Head of D&E at ASML Berlin since November 2021, and as a part-time professor in the Physics and Technology of EUV Lithography at Eindhoven University of Technology from April 2013. Banine's extensive career at ASML began in 1996, where various roles included Director, Head of ASML laboratory, and multiple leadership positions focused on EUV technology. Prior academic experience includes a postdoctoral research position at Eindhoven University of Technology specializing in coal combustion processes and prior research roles at the Institute for High Temperatures of the Academy of Sciences, where early investigations into plasma diagnostics and gas discharge technology were conducted. Banine holds a PhD in Metrology of combustion plasma and shock tubes from Eindhoven University of Technology and a Cum Laude degree from the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology.
