Padmakumar R. Rao is a highly experienced scientist currently serving as a Senior Scientist at ASML since January 2015, focusing on advanced image sensors and radiation detectors. With a background that includes positions as a Senior Engineer in semiconductor metrology and a role at Technische Universiteit Delft as a Guest staff member involved in academic projects and teaching, Padmakumar has extensive expertise in the impact of radiation on imaging technologies. Prior experience includes positions at onsemi as an Engineer specializing in pixel design and at imec as a Postdoctoral Researcher working on innovative CMOS image sensors for various applications. Padmakumar holds a PhD in charge transfer image sensors from Delft University of Technology and has further degrees in Electronics from the National Institute of Technology and Mahatma Gandhi University.
