Naama Shefi is an accomplished culinary professional and executive with a strong background in cultural preservation and culinary arts. Currently serving as Chair and Executive Director at Asif: Culinary Institute of Israel since March 2021, Naama has played a crucial role in launching this non-profit organization dedicated to Israel's diverse food culture. As Executive Director of the Jewish Food Society since May 2016, Naama focuses on preserving and celebrating Jewish culinary heritage. Additionally, Naama has held the position of Consultant - Jewish Food at The Paul E. Singer Foundation since April 2016, working on initiatives to renew Jewish culinary traditions. Prior roles include Director of Marketing & Communications at EatWith and various freelance writing and curatorial positions. Naama holds an MFA in Film & Media Studies from The New School and a BA in Literature from Tel Aviv University.
