San Kim has a diverse work experience in the field of information technology. San started their career as an IT Manager at Khmerweb Internet Service Provider in 1998. Later, they worked as a Lecturer in Computer Science at Royal University of Phnom Penh from 2000 to 2002. In 2002, San Kim became a Fulbright Fellow at the University of Pittsburgh - School of Information Sciences. San then worked as a Senior Information Technology Consultant in freelance IT consulting from 2004 to 2005. Since 2006, San Kim has been working at Asian Pacific Health Care Venture, Inc., where they hold the role of Director of Information Technology/Information Management and Information Security Officer.

San Kim obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the Royal University of Phnom Penh in 1999. From 1999 to 2000, San Kim attended the School of Pedagogy, though information regarding a degree or field of study is not available. Later, from 2002 to 2004, San Kim pursued a Master's degree in Computer Systems Networking and Telecommunications at the University of Pittsburgh.
