Allymyr Atrero has a diverse work experience that spans various roles and organizations. They started their career in 2014 as a Resident Assistant for the New Start Summer Bridge Program at the University of Arizona. They later became an Academic Success & Achievement Peer Advisor and a PASS Probation Peer Advisor at the same university.
In 2015, Allymyr joined Arizona Serve as an Events & Services Coordinator, where they coordinated programming and service projects for underrepresented and low-income youth in Tucson.
Allymyr continued to work at the University of Arizona, holding positions such as the Coordinator for the Arizona's Science, Engineering & Math Scholars Program, Global Experiential Learning Program Lead, and Asian Pacific American Student Affairs - Programs and Leadership Development Assistant. In these roles, they developed curriculum, managed communications, organized events, and facilitated student programs and internship courses.
In 2018, Allymyr joined California State University, Monterey Bay as the Otter Cross Cultural Center Coordinator for Educational Programs, where they oversaw the coordination of center communications, developed strategic partnerships, and supported diversity and equity efforts.
They briefly worked as a College Admissions Reviewer (Remote Reader) for the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2022 before taking on a Manager of Initiatives role at CAEL.
Currently, Allymyr holds the position of Vice President of Mentorship at Asian Corporate & Entrepreneur Leaders - National and will soon transition to the role of Director of Initiatives at CAEL.
Allymyr Atrero holds a Master of Arts degree in Higher Education from the University of Arizona. They also obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the same institution. Additionally, they have received certifications in Safe Zone Training from the University of Arizona in 2017 and Undocu-Ally Training from Scholarships A-Z in 2016.
