Ronak Patel is currently serving as an Equal Justice Works Fellow sponsored by Cooley LLP at the Asian American Legal Defense and Education Fund since September 2022. Previously, Ronak held the position of Legal Fellow at the UCLA Voting Rights Project from September 2021 to May 2022. In addition, Ronak contributed as a Research Assistant to Professor Ahilan Arulanantham at the University of California, Los Angeles - School of Law, where also held the roles of Editor In Chief of the Asian Pacific American Law Journal and Senior Managing Editor of the UCLA Law Review. As Co-Chair of both the National Lawyers Guild and the South Asian Law Students Association, Ronak demonstrated leadership in legal advocacy. Earlier experience includes internships with the ACLU and LatinoJustice PRLDEF, as well as consulting roles at Capgemini. Ronak earned a Doctor of Law (JD) from UCLA School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Political Science from Northwestern University.
