Richard Giragosian is a seasoned analyst with extensive experience in political, economic, and security issues, particularly in Armenia and the broader South Caucasus region. Currently serving as a freelance contributing analyst for Asia Times and Al Jazeera Media Network, Giragosian also holds the position of Director at the Regional Studies Center, an independent think tank in Armenia. Since its inception in 2012, the center has focused on strategic analysis and policy initiatives aimed at political reform and conflict resolution. In addition to these roles, Giragosian has contributed as a Senior Expert at the Centre for European Studies at Yerevan State University and has held various analytical positions with organizations such as Oxford Analytica and the Asian Development Bank. With a prior tenure as Director at the Armenian Center for National and International Studies and extensive contributions to military assessments and regional analyses for several publications, Giragosian possesses a strong background in regional security and political dynamics.
