Dr. Aruna Bhaugeerutty is an accomplished professional in the field of digital collections and museum studies, currently serving as Head of Digital Collections at the Ashmolean Museum since July 2015. Dr. Bhaugeerutty leads strategic initiatives for digitisation and system implementation while also contributing as a Trustee at the Collections Trust and advising various museums, including the Spencer Museum of Art and Wellcome Collection. With a strong academic background in art and sound art, including a PhD from Newcastle University, Dr. Bhaugeerutty has also held significant roles at the Ashmolean Museum, developing digital strategies and managing projects to enhance online accessibility to collections.
