Carl Steele

Partner And Head Of Intellectual Property at Ashfords LLP

Carl Steele has over 20 years of experience in the legal field, specializing in intellectual property (IP) and commercial law. Carl began their career as a Solicitor at Taylor Wessing in 1995, where they worked on various IP matters for clients such as Faith Footwear, Thermos, Harper Collins, and Morgan S.A. In 2000, Carl took on a 12-month secondment as a Legal Consultant at Blake Dawson, where they continued to focus on IP-related matters, including work related to the Sydney 2000 Olympics and Stadium Australia. In 2005, they joined Ashfords LLP as a Partner and Head of Intellectual Property, a position they currently hold. Overall, Carl has demonstrated a strong expertise and a long-standing commitment to the field of intellectual property law throughout their career.

Carl Steele completed their Law LLB degree at the University of Exeter from 1990 to 1993. Subsequently, they pursued a Postgraduate Certificate in Sports Law at King's College London from 1996 to 1997. Later, they obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Intellectual Property Law from the University of Bristol, studying from 1997 to 1998.
