Michael A. Gonzales has been working in the cement industry for over 20 years. Michael started their career as a process automation engineer with CEMEX in 1987. In 2001, they moved to Lafarge Cement as a corporate process engineer. In this role, they provided technical assistance and project management services for the cement industry. In 2002, they left Lafarge to become operations/project manager for Proyectos y Construcciones del Puerto, S.A. de C.V. In this role, they were responsible for the daily operations of the business and oversaw new plant construction, revamping, and maintenance projects. In 2008, they left Proyectos y Construcciones del Puerto to start their own consulting firm, MIRAMCO LLC. Michael consulted for various cement companies until 2012 when they joined Italcementi Group as a production engineer. Michael remained with Italcementi until 2014 when they joined ASH GROVE CEMENT CO as VP of Manufacturing & Technical Services.
