William Atkins

Global Product Stewardship Manager at Ascensus Specialties

William Atkins has a diverse work experience spanning over multiple companies and roles. William started their career in 1993 as an R&D Intern at Callery Chemical Company. William then worked as a Chemical Technician, where they characterized, sampled, and disposed of hazardous materials, and managed production for new business development.

In 1999, Atkins transitioned into the role of Process Development Chemist at Callery Chemical Company, where they developed a patented, large-scale process for a high-value product and coordinated development efforts for a key product additive at pilot scale.

At BASF, Atkins worked as a Technical Service Representative/Sourcing from 2004 to 2012, where they served as a global technical service representative for all BASF Inorganics products produced at the Evans City facility. Currently, Atkins works at Ascensus Specialties as the Global Product Stewardship Manager, where they assumed the role in December 2019. William is responsible for managing TSCA and Transportation programs, product registrations, SDS and label integration, and the development of a Sustainability Program, among other responsibilities.
