Zubair Farooqui, DO, is a resident physician at Ascension, with a diverse background in medical education and patient care. Farooqui served as an education mentor for Prescribe it Forward from January 2021 to May 2022, coaching aspiring medical students in applications, test-taking strategies, and interviews. A recipient of the Kenneth Suarez Grant, Farooqui worked as a research assistant at Midwestern University from March 2019 to August 2019. Previous roles include certified nursing assistant at Villa St. Benedict, pharmacy technician and customer service associate at Walgreens, and healthy lifestyle coach at Will Grundy Medical Clinic, where education was provided to underserved populations in Spanish. Farooqui holds a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Midwestern University and a Bachelor of Science in Pre-Medicine from Benedictine University.
