Jackline Ngenia has been working in the data science and machine learning fields since 2019. Jackline began their career as a Cohort Representative for the Jomo Kenyatta University Actuarial Students Association (JKUASA) in 2019. In 2020, they became a Campus Ambassador for Data Science East Africa, a Mathematics Tutor for TeacherOn, and a Data Science Intern and Junior Data Scientist for Asante Financial Services Group. In 2022, they began working as a Junior Machine Learning Engineer at Omdena, where they collaborated with the impact startup Toju Africa to build an AI solution. Jackline worked on the loan capacity prediction for MSMEs given their different features. Throughout their career, Jackline has achieved various successes, such as introducing software learning to their association, organizing online webinars and meetups, developing tutorial materials, and representing and advocating for the interests of third and fourth year students.
