Jay L. Patel has a rich work experience history in the field of pathology and clinical trials. Starting as an Anatomic and Clinical Pathology Resident at the University of Utah Health Hospitals and Clinics in 2006, they then went on to a Hematopathology Fellowship at Stanford Hospital & Clinics in 2010. Following that, they held a position as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Calgary from 2011 to 2014. In 2014, they took on the role of Medical Director of Hematopathology at ARUP Laboratories and simultaneously became a Professor of Pathology at the University of Utah Health. Over the years, they progressed to various leadership positions at ARUP Laboratories, including Executive Director and Vice President of Clinical Trials & PharmaDx. Throughout their career, Jay has maintained a strong focus on pathology and clinical research.
Jay L. Patel completed their Bachelor of Science in Molecular & Cellular Biology at the University of Arizona in 2002. Jay L. then went on to earn their Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) from the same institution in 2006. Later, Jay pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Utah - David Eccles School of Business, graduating in 2018.
