Leon Rudakov has extensive experience in the medical industry, particularly in medical technology development. Leon began their career as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Merlin Medical in 2003, where they led the development of a neurointerventional catheter-based device for treating cerebral aneurysms. Leon worked in this role until 2009. In the same year, they founded and became the CEO and CTO of ArtVentive Medical, where they were responsible for leading the company and its technology development. Leon also served as the President and Chairman of Artventive Medical Group, Inc. since 2009.

Leon Rudakov attended National Aviation University from 1968 to 1974 and earned a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering degree. Leon then pursued further education at Moscow Aviation Institute (National Research University) from 1982 to 1986 and obtained a Ph.D. in Design and Product Development. In 1993, Leon briefly attended Duke University - The Fuqua School of Business to study Business, although it does not specify whether they completed a degree.
