Gayathri I. is an experienced professional in the fields of education, counseling, and the arts. Currently serving as a Consultant at ArtsConnection since September 2020 and as a School Counselor with the NYC Department of Education since September 2014, Gayathri I. has also contributed as an Adjunct Faculty Instructor at NYU Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development from September 2018 to March 2020. Previous roles include Program Coordinator for the Integrated Media Arts MFA program at Hunter College, Counseling Intern at the Ella Baker School, and various positions within film and media organizations, such as the Sundance Institute and Women Make Movies. Gayathri I. holds a Master’s degree in School-Based Counseling from Hunter College and a Bachelor’s degree in Cinema Studies, as well as Journalism and Mass Communication from New York University.
