Michelle Freeman is an experienced arts professional with over two decades of expertise in collaborative funding, educational programming, and community engagement within the arts sector. Currently serving as Senior Manager of Collaborative Funding at Arts Council England since October 2009, Michelle has also held various senior managerial roles focusing on music education, funded projects, and visual arts. Prior experience includes Programmes Manager at Tate Liverpool, where Michelle developed creative initiatives connecting the gallery with diverse communities and youth, and Project Consultant at BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art. Michelle's educational background includes an MA in Museum Studies from Newcastle University and a BA (Hons) in Fine Art from The Glasgow School of Art. Notable contributions to the arts community also include establishing youth panels and innovative programs that foster engagement and participation among young people.
