Prof. (Dr.) Amitava Das serves as Adjunct Faculty at the Indian Institute of Technology, Patna, and as a Research Associate Professor at the Artificial Intelligence Institute at the University of South Carolina. Since February 2019, Amitava has held the position of Advisory Scientist and previously Principal Scientist at Wipro. Prior experience includes roles as Associate Professor at Mahindra University and Assistant Professor at the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Sri City. Amitava was also a Visiting Scientist at the Indian School and a Research Scientist at the University of North Texas, where mentoring students and managing research projects were key responsibilities. Additional experience includes a Chief Engineer role at Samsung India Software Operations, a PostDoctoral Scientist at NTNU, and a Research Fellow during the PhD program at Jadavpur University, where Amitava earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Natural Language Processing.
