Laura Chang has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Laura began their career as a Mitragotri Laboratory Research Intern at UC Santa Barbara in 2008. In 2011, they worked as a Chemical Product R&D Intern at Eli Lilly and Company. From 2007 to 2009, they served as a Lahann Laboratory Research Assistant at the University of Michigan.

Laura's work in academia continued at the University of Michigan, where they obtained a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering and served as a Graduate Student Instructor for CHE 230: Material and Energy Balances from 2010 to 2013. From 2014, they worked as an Engineering Teaching Consultant at the University of Michigan Center for Research on Learning and Teaching.

In 2015, Laura joined PFS Genomics Inc. as a Bioinformatician before being promoted to President from 2018 to 2021. Laura then moved to Exact Sciences in 2021, starting as a Pipeline Team Lead, Associate Director. Laura later held the role of Director, Precision Oncology Portfolio from 2022. Currently, Laura works as the VP of Business Strategy at Artera, a position they assumed in 2022.

Laura Chang attended the University of Michigan, starting in 2006 and graduating in 2010, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering. Laura then pursued further education at the same institution, completing a Master of Science in Engineering in Chemical Engineering from 2010 to 2012. Following this, Laura pursued a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering at the University of Michigan, from 2010 to 2015.
