Jan Pilgaard Carlsen has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Jan Pilgaard is currently the Founder & Chief Product Officer at Artelize since October 2021. Prior to that, they worked as an Entrepreneur at Steathly Undercover Company Inc. from October 2020 to September 2021.

Carlsen also served as the Chief Operating Officer and Co-founder at Truelinked from December 2015 to September 2020. Before that, they held multiple positions at CDM A/S, including Vice President, Business Unit Manager, Business Unit Manager, and Project Manager, from November 2013 to April 2015 and January 2011 to October 2013, respectively. In 2018, Jan attended the Copenhagen Institute of Interaction Design and completed a program called Service Design through Experience Prototyping. Prior to their university studies, they attended Horsens Statsskole from 1992 to 1995, although no specific degree or field of study is mentioned for this period.
