Maribel Morales has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Maribel started their career as a Strategic Industrial Designer at Imbera Cooling, where they worked on the development of commercial coolers for international clients such as Coca Cola and Heineken. Maribel then joined MORPHO-SYNTHESIS Design Studio as an Intern, focusing on housewares and lighting design. Maribel also worked as a Freelance Product Designer at R3VE and gained experience in UX design. As a Freelance Design Consultant, they provided design services to companies, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and utilizing market research and analysis. Maribel became an Entrepreneur and co-founded Thari Foods, a food startup specializing in the distribution of superfoods. Maribel was responsible for various aspects of the business, including research, strategy, branding, and sales. In their most recent role at Array Marketing, Maribel served as a Product Team Lead, overseeing the management of the inventory platform and conducting user surveys for continuous improvement. Additionally, they worked as a Product Coordinator, managing a digital and physical library of brands and products. Maribel has a strong background in design, product development, and project management.
Maribel Morales has a diverse education history that spans various fields and institutions. In 2021, they attended BrainStation where they studied Product Management. In 2014 and 2015, they enrolled in George Brown College Continuing Education and focused on Design Management. Earlier in their academic journey, from 2005 to 2010, Morales pursued a Bachelor's degree in B.A. Industrial Design at Tecnológico de Monterrey. Additionally, in 2010, they briefly attended HOWEST - Hogeschool West-Vlaanderen to study Product Design.
Morales has also obtained several certifications to complement their education. Maribel achieved the Advanced Google Analytics Certification from Google in 2021. Additionally, in 2019, they completed a business planning, marketing and sales, accounting, and start-up funding and financing boot camp offered by Business in the Streets. In 2018, they obtained the YCEO Entrepreneur certification from the same institution, focusing on business validation through market research, financial planning, user persona analysis, BMC (Business Model Canvas), MVP (Minimum Viable Product), and SWOT analysis.
