Simone D'Amico is a Science Fellow at The Hoover Institution, Stanford University, where research focuses on the policy implications of space technology. D'Amico serves as an Associate Professor of Aeronautics and Astronautics and holds the role of Associate Professor of Geophysics (by Courtesy) at Stanford University, where responsibilities include directing the Undergraduate Program in Aeronautics and Astronautics and founding Stanford's Space Rendezvous Laboratory (SLAB). Additional advisory positions are held with organizations such as Array Labs, Reflect, Prime Movers Lab, Infinite Orbits, and Capella Space. Previous experience includes roles as a Visiting Professor at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory and Caltech, as well as serving as a Project Manager and Research Scientist at DLR/German Space Operations Center. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Aerospace Engineering from Delft University of Technology and an M.Sc. in Aerospace Engineering from MIP Politecnico di Milano.
