Shamim Hasan has been working in the technology and marine industries since 2011. In 2011, they began working as a Marine Officer for BRAVE ROYAL SHIP MANAGEMENT LIMITED (BD). In 2013, they founded Shamim's Plugins. In 2014, they began working as a Marine Officer for Bashundhara Group. In 2019, they became the Co-Founder and CTO of Arogga, where they are responsible for the technology vision for the company and building the premier healthcare technology platform in Bangladesh.

Shamim Hasan holds a Bachelor's degree in Marine Science/Merchant Marine Officer from Bangladesh Marine Academy and an H.S.C in Science from B.A.F. Shaheen College, Tejgaon, Dhaka.
