Matthias Bertschy has been working in the IT industry since 2003. From 2003 to 2005, they worked as an IT Technician at Echo Technologies SA, where they implemented and operated a build and release management system. From 2005 to 2009, they were a System Administrator at Net4All.ch, managing and administering computer networks in a web hosting and IT services company. From 2009 to 2011, they worked as a System Engineer at SICPA, where they implemented and managed information systems for government and industry projects. From 2011 to 2017, they worked as a Cloud DevOps Engineer in PaaS technologies and System Security Engineer at SICPA. From 2017 to 2020, they were a Senior DevOps Engineer, Lead DevOps Engineer, and Productivity Manager at Swissquote. Since 2020, they have been a Senior Kubernetes Architect at Lombard Odier Group, participating in a 7-year long digital transformation project to modernise the bank's technical stack and delivery process. In 2023, they will become a Senior Kubernetes Developer at ARMO.

Matthias Bertschy obtained their Master's degree in Information Technology from CPE Lyon between 2001 and 2005. Since then, they have obtained a variety of certifications, including a Certified ScrumMaster from the Scrum Alliance in December 2015, an MCITP: Database Administrator 2008 from Microsoft in November 2010, and various certifications from The Linux Foundation and edX. Matthias also obtained certifications from the Speciality Coffee Association of Europe in July 2018 and January 2018, and a TRX Qualified Trainer - STC, GSTC, SMTC from TRX Training in February 2018.
