José is a creative and tech-passioned professional, with a strong network within the IT community and academia. He follows most of the IT companies in our portfolio, and screens investment opportunities directed to Armilar.

José has a BSc in Computer and Systems Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico, and a MBA from Universidade Católica Portuguesa. He started his carrier as a Researcher at INESC, and has over 10 years experience within the bank industry and 8 years experience as marketing and commercial manager during the initial growth years of Novabase SA, Portugal’s largest IT solutions provider.

He is a board member/observer of several Armilar portfolio companies, and speaks English, French and Spanish.

José joined Armilar in 2004.
