Peter Bofin is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in research and advisory roles within the development and conflict analysis sectors. Currently serving as the Senior Research Coordinator for the Armed Conflict Location & Event Data Project (ACLED) since February 2023, Peter manages the Cabo Ligado Project's production and analysis, creating essential reports and Actor Profiles. Previously, as an Extractive Industries Adviser at Oxfam Great Britain, Peter established oil and gas programs in Kenya and Tanzania and secured funding for additional petroleum initiatives. Peter has also worked as a consultant focusing on governance issues and held significant leadership positions, including Country Manager at Oxfam Ireland and Country Director at HelpAge International. Educated with a Master’s Degree in Development Studies from University College Dublin and a Bachelor’s Degree in History from Trinity College Dublin, Peter combines academic expertise with practical experience in the field.
