Alan York currently serves as the Director of Operations at the Arkansas Department of Energy & Environment since September 2023. Prior to this role, Alan held the position of Associate Director at the Arkansas Department of Energy and Environment's Division of Environmental Quality from March 2021 to October 2023. Alan's career in public service began as Assistant General Counsel at the Arkansas Oil and Gas Commission, where work was carried out from January 2007 to March 2021. Alan York holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, obtained between 2001 and 2004, and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Clemson University, earned from 1993 to 1998.
