Jan Cottingham is an accomplished managing editor with extensive experience in journalism and editorial management, currently overseeing the daily editorial functions at Arkansas Business Publishing Group since September 2006. Prior to this role, Jan was a successful freelance writer and editor, contributing to various notable publications including Bloomberg News and Ms. Magazine. With a background that includes positions such as communications liaison for the Green Belt Movement International and editor for Heifer International, where significant magazine redesigns and circulation increases were achieved, Jan has demonstrated strong leadership and content development skills throughout a career that began in the late 1970s. Jan’s educational foundation includes a Bachelor's degree in History from Hendrix College and further studies at Southern Methodist University.
