Paul Nugent has a diverse work experience in the education field. Paul started their career as a Learning Support Assistant at Ark Academy in Wembley Park in September 2015. Paul then became an Unqualified Government and Politics Teacher/Internal Exclusion Lead from September 2016 to September 2017. From September 2017 onwards, they worked as a History Teacher, Lead Teacher of Politics, and Assistant Head of Year. Additionally, they served as Joint Head of House from September 2018 to September 2021. In July 2023, they took on the role of Head of Year. In December 2019, they also joined Ark as the Network Lead for Politics.

Paul Nugent attended The University of Manchester from 2012 to 2015, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Politics and Modern History.
