Amber Back has a strong background in event management, with their most recent role being Director of Events at the ASU Foundation for A New American University since October 2021. Prior to that, they held the same position at the Arizona State University - Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication from June 2019 to October 2021. Amber also served as the Manager of Events from June 2017 to June 2019 at the same institution.
Before joining the Walter Cronkite School, Amber worked at the ASU Foundation for A New American University from July 2015 to June 2017 as an Events Program Manager and from July 2013 to July 2015 as an Events Coordinator. Prior to that, they served as an Event and Program Coordinator at the Greater Phoenix Chamber from July 2010 to July 2013.
Amber also has experience in the sports industry, having worked as a Game Day Staff member for the Milwaukee Brewers Baseball Club in March and April 2010. Amber also had an internship role as a Charities Intern at the Phoenix Suns from September 2008 to May 2009. Additionally, they briefly worked as an Attraction Manager for the National Basketball Association in February 2009.
Amber Back obtained their Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from Arizona State University, where they studied from 2005 to 2009. In 2014, they obtained a Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) certification from the Events Industry Council. Furthermore, in July 2019, they completed the Leadership in the New American University program offered by Arizona State University.
