Katie McCown is a dedicated professional with extensive experience in economic development and small business support. Currently serving as the Senior Manager of Economic Development at Local First Arizona since June 2021, Katie plays a crucial role in assisting over 3,000 Arizona-based businesses with resource navigation and growth strategies. Previously, Katie managed the Arizona Economic Recovery Center, focusing on grant assistance for local communities. Earlier roles include Center Director at Central Arizona College SBDC, Business Analyst at Maricopa Small Business Development Center, and adjunct professor at both Paradise Valley Community College and The Art Institutes. Katie holds a Master of Fine Arts in Fashion Merchandising from the Academy of Art University and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus on Entrepreneurship and Marketing from the University of Arizona.
