Brian Wallheimer began their career in 2002 as an intern and reporter at SJ-R.com - The State Journal-Register. Brian then worked as a reporter at Norwich Bulletin from 2005 to 2007. From 2007 to 2008, they served as a reporter at Journal and Courier. In 2008, they joined Purdue University as a science writer until 2013. Following that, they worked as the Digital Editor at Rockford Register Star from 2013 to 2014. From 2014 to 2021, Brian was self-employed as a freelance writer and editor. In 2021, they became the Managing Editor at Arizent. Brian later served as the Interim Editor in Chief before their current position as the Editor-in-Chief of Financial Planning at Arizent starting in April 2022.
Brian Wallheimer earned a Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, where they studied from 1998 to 2003. Brian then pursued a Master's degree in Public Affairs Reporting at the University of Illinois Springfield from 2003 to 2004.
