Shashank Hegde is a Software Engineer at Arista Networks, Inc., since April 2012, with prior experience as a Grad Student at UC Santa Barbara from September 2010 to March 2012. During the Master's program, Shashank developed projects including a Fault Tolerance solution for AppScale, an Eclectic Music Recommendation Engine, and Ant Colony Optimization techniques for cell routing in VLSI chips. Shashank also gained experience as a Software Engineer Intern at Amazon, contributing to the Encoding team for Amazon Instant Video, and worked at Nokia from July 2008 to August 2010, focusing on Flash run-time development and streaming protocols. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Computer Science from UC Santa Barbara and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from M S Ramaiah Institute of Technology, Bangalore.
