Yolandi van der Merwe, PhD, is an experienced professional in the fields of commercial insights and biomedical engineering. Currently serving as Associate Director of Commercial Insights at argenx since May 2023, Yolandi previously held a Senior Manager position at Bristol Myers Squibb from June 2021 to May 2023. Prior experience includes roles at Guidehouse and Fourth River Solutions, where Yolandi focused on market analysis and human resources, respectively. With a PhD in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh, Yolandi's academic research included investigating biologic therapies for ocular trauma and leading multi-departmental collaborations that resulted in multiple peer-reviewed publications. Overall, Yolandi has demonstrated a strong commitment to research, leadership, and consultancy in both academic and corporate environments.
