Philip Mongan has a diverse work experience in various roles and organizations. Philip currently serves as the Vice Chair of the Reliability, Availability, Maintainability Symposium (RAMS), where they focus on integrating artificial intelligence, machine learning, reliability, and maintainability into digital engineering design. Prior to RAMS, Mr. Mongan held the position of Sr. Vice President and Program Manager at ARES Corporation. Philip also served as the Vice President of Space Commerce at SPACEHAB, Inc. and worked as an Engineer at NASA's Johnson Space Center. Philip'sexperience spans across both technical and leadership roles in the aerospace industry.
Philip Mongan attended Texas A&M University from 1979 to 1984, where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Following that, they attended the University of Houston-Clear Lake from 1986 to 1991 and obtained a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree. In addition to their formal education, Philip also holds certifications such as the PMP (Project Management Professional) from the Project Management Institute, obtained in October 2015, and a Six Sigma Green Belt certification from NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration.
