Benjamin Viale is a seasoned urban design and architecture professional currently serving as Directeur général at AREP since January 2018, after holding various director positions. Prior to this role, Benjamin worked as Chief Designer at Turenscape from March 2017 to January 2018 and served as Senior Urban Designer at Atkins from January 2012 to March 2016. Earlier experience includes the role of Architect Urban Designer at Farrells from September 2007 to December 2011. Benjamin holds a DPLG/DSA in Architecture and Urbanisme from ENSA Paris-Est (2003-2007) and a DEFA Diploma from Ecole Nationale Supérieure d'Architecture de Grenoble (2001-2002). Additionally, Benjamin pursued studies in Chinese Language and Culture at Beijing University from 2016 to 2017.
