Heather Tuason has over 25 years of experience in finance. Heather began their career in 1993 as Vice President of Investment Banking at Wachovia, A Wells Fargo Company. In 2002, they moved to M&T Bank as Vice President of Investment Banking. In 2005, they joined Fannie Mae as Director. In 2007, they joined Capital One as Senior Vice President of National Small Business, where they were responsible for developing digital products for small business customers. Heather also held the roles of Vice President of Corporate Development and Vice President of Corporate Treasury. In 2017, they joined StreetShares as Chief Strategy Officer and Chief Product and Chief Investment Officer. In 2019, they founded and became CEO of Arena, a fintech platform that provides businesses with modernized payment capabilities and a professional finance team.
Heather Tuason obtained a BA in Criminology, Accounting, and Economics from George Mason University between 1990 and 1994. Heather then obtained an Executive Banking Certification from Louisiana State University in May 2009. In March 2015, they obtained a Stanford Executive Design School Certification from Stanford University. In June 2014, they obtained an Adaptive Path Design Thinking Certification from Adaptive Path. In 2016, they completed the D School Executive Program at Stanford University. Finally, in 2018, they completed an Online Course in Scaling Ventures at Harvard Business School.
