Christopher Seto has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Christopher began their career in banking, working as an Assistant Manager at RBC from 1991 to 1994, followed by a similar role at HSBC from 1994 to 1998. Christopher then joined Central 1 as an Assistant Manager of Operations from 1998 to 2002 before transitioning to CIBC, where they held the position of Senior Director in Technology & Operations from 2002 to 2015.
In 2011, Christopher made a career shift and joined Running Room as a Marathon/Half Marathon Coach. In this role, they successfully coached and mentored groups of 50-300 individuals, both in-person and virtually, to complete marathons and half marathons. Christopher also developed a significant network within the Vancouver Running Community and gained knowledge of the sporting apparel business and supply chain logistics through affiliations with Running Room Canada Inc, Vancouver Marathon Society, and other sports apparel brands.
Currently, Christopher is employed at Arc'teryx Equipment since 2015. Christopher initially worked as a Senior Supply Planner with responsibilities in global supply chain management, vendor relationships, and optimizing costs and processes. In their recent role as a Senior Manager of Sourcing Business Process, they are the primary lead for sourcing and supply chain on business transformation projects. Christopher works with key stakeholders to identify solutions using applications such as SAP, Confluence, JIRA, and more. Christopher drives overall business readiness, gathers requirements for sourcing functionality, and ensures process optimization at the design stage.
Christopher Seto completed a Processing Professionals Certification Program in Six Sigma/Lean at Royal Roads University in 2011. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Clinical Psychology and Business Administration and Management, General from The University of British Columbia, where they studied from 1989 to 1993.
