Joe Tan has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Joe is currently working at Howmet Aerospace as the Sales Director for Greater China and the Rest of Asia. Prior to this role, they held the position of Sales Director for the Rest of Asia at Howmet Aerospace. Before joining Howmet Aerospace, Joe worked at Arconic as the Director of Sales for Southeast Asia and Taiwan. Joe also has experience as a Regional Sales Manager at Alcoa Wheel and Transportation Products Inc. Additionally, they held positions as a Sales Manager at Globaltraco International Pte Ltd and Senior Sales Manager at Autovox Pte Ltd. Joe began their career as an Accountant at Simplex Pte Ltd.

Joe Tan received their GCE "A" Levels in Accounting from Seletar Institute in 1993-1995. Joe later obtained a Bachelor of Science in Management from the Singapore Institute of Management in 1998-2000.
