Philip Rideout has over twenty years of experience in the software engineering industry. From 2000 to 2005, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer at 3DLABS. Philip then moved to NVIDIA Corporation, where they were a 3D Tools Engineer from 2005 to 2010. After that, they worked at Medical Simulation Corporation as a Senior Graphics Developer from 2010 to 2011. Following that, they were a Research Engineer at Pixar Animation Studios from 2011 to 2014. From 2014 to 2016, they were a Senior Graphics Engineer at mappable. Finally, from 2016 to 2022, they were a Senior Software Engineer at Google, where they designed, implemented, and maintained the Vulkan and WebGL backends for Filament, as well as the glTF importer.
Philip Rideout attended Mississippi State University from 1996 to 2000, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science.
