Ben McCalla

Trust Associate Senior Leader at Archway Learning Trust

Ben McCalla has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Ben started their career as a Graduate Management Trainee at the NHS Institute for Innovation and Improvement, where they worked on project management and human resources management in healthcare organizations. Ben then worked as a Project Manager and Service Improvement Manager at the East Midlands Ambulance Service, where they managed projects and programs to develop and improve the organization. Ben also worked as a Consultant at PCH Projects, providing business development consultancy services in the healthcare sector. At Trent Vineyard Church and Conference Centre, they served as a Special Assistant to the Senior Pastors and co-led the Vineyard Movement's national youth festival. Ben later returned to PCH Projects as a Project Manager, developing and delivering project management training and providing consultancy services to health and social care organizations. Ben then pursued a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) in Secondary Science at the University of Nottingham. Currently, they are working at Archway Learning Trust, where they have held various roles, including Teacher of Science, Lead Teacher of Science, Trust Associate Head of Faculty, and currently serves as the Interim Head of Science.

Ben McCalla has an education history that includes various degree programs. In 2004, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Psychology from the University of Birmingham. Ben then pursued further studies and in 2008, completed a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Occupational Psychology at the University of Nottingham. Following this, in 2009, they enrolled at Middlesex University where they earned a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Human Resources Management, which they completed in 2011. Most recently, in 2016, Ben attended the University of Nottingham again, where they obtained a Postgraduate Certificate in Education in the field of Education.
