Lara Shewchuk, FCPA, FCA, GCB.D, NACD.DC, is an accomplished professional with a focus on governance, sustainability, and empowering underrepresented communities in leadership. Currently serving on the Strategic Council for 50/50 Women on Boards and as a member of the Strategic Sustainability Advisory Board for CPA Ontario, Shewchuk actively promotes gender diversity and sustainability in corporate governance. In addition to roles with the Fast Company Impact Council, Competent Boards, and QueerTech, where the mission includes enhancing inclusivity in the tech sector, Shewchuk is the Chair of the Board of Directors for the Canadian Center For Women’s Empowerment, advocating against economic abuse and driving initiatives for policy change. As COO and CFO of Architech, a Toronto-based software company, Shewchuk leverages a strong background in finance and governance, supported by multiple certifications and educational achievements, including the Global ESG Competent Boards Certificate and NACD Directorship Certification.
