Mike began their career as an Industrial Engineering Intern at Diebold, where they focused on designing and implementing assembly lines for ATMs. Mike then worked as a Consultant at TechSolve, analyzing processes within companies to increase efficiency and productivity.
Mike also worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at The Ohio State University, applying mathematical modeling and optimization techniques to maximize revenue and developing natural-language understanding software. Mike later served as a Teaching Assistant, teaching undergraduate algebra classes.
After completing their master's degree, Mike worked as an Operations Research Analyst at Sandia National Laboratories, conducting research on optimization models for domestic passenger air networks during disruptions. Mike Prince has a Ph.D. in Industrial and Systems Engineering from the University of Florida, which they completed between 2009 and 2013. Prior to that, they obtained an M.S. in Industrial and Systems Engineering from The Ohio State University, graduating in 2009. Their undergraduate education was also completed at The Ohio State University, where they earned a B.S. in Industrial and Systems Engineering between 2004 and 2009.
