James Kersten, CISSP, has extensive experience in information security management, currently serving as the Manager of Information Security at Arch Coal, Inc. since May 2012. Prior roles include Senior Manager of IT Security at Peabody Energy, Global IT Security Manager at Ally Financial, and Information Security Manager positions at both H&R Block and Kansas City Southern Railway. James began a career in law enforcement as a Detective with the St. Louis County Police from 1977 to 1987. Academic credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Saint Louis University and a Bachelor of Science in Administration of Justice from the University of Missouri-Saint Louis.
