Chirag Vasavada is a seasoned professional in the steel industry with over two decades of experience. Currently serving as Deputy General Manager at ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India since December 2019, Chirag manages operations in the Steel Melt shop. Prior to this role, Chirag was a Senior Manager at Essar Steel (India) Limited from February 2010 to May 2022, where significant contributions included the successful commissioning of the Twin Shell Conarc Furnace Project and overseeing maintenance planning for the 200 T Conarc furnace. Previous experience includes a Group Leader position at Qatar Steel Company, focusing on maintenance for electric arc furnaces, and a Deputy Manager role at Essar Steel Limited, where responsibilities included ensuring uninterrupted production in the Steel Melt shop. Chirag holds a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from Government Polytechnic, Rajkot, and an education background in the science stream from Shri S.V.Virani High School, Rajkot.
