Jason Estep

Jason Estep is a scientist at Arc Institute since March 2023, previously serving as a PhD candidate at the University of California, Riverside from September 2015 to December 2022, where the graduate thesis focused on adhesion signaling and actin remodeling related to neuronal migration and axonal pathfinding under Dr. Martin Riccomagno. Jason also worked as a graduate teaching assistant for eight academic quarters and held the position of Laboratory Assistant II in the lab of Dr. Fedor V Karginov at UC Riverside from April 2013 to September 2015. Earlier experience includes a neurobiology research internship in the lab of Dr. Qizhi Gong at UC Davis from September 2009 to June 2012. Jason holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Cell, Molecular, and Developmental Biology from the University of California, Riverside, earned in October 2022, and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Cell Biology from the University of California, Davis, obtained in 2012.
